Values

Education is a preparation for life which should foster the potential within each child. It is a key to peace, social harmony and the cooperation of individuals and groups for the betterment of humanity.

Our school environment should demonstrate values worthy of a child’s emulation. Among those values, respect - for the human dignity of others and oneself, and for the environment – is central. A sense of wonder is fostered as the seed of spiritual development.

Our Montessori curriculum provides an individualised approach tailored to each child’s stage of development and capabilities. Similarly, each classroom reflects the individuality of the director who has prepared the Montessori environment.

Since parents are the primary influence on a child’s development, education must be a collaborative process involving parents and teachers. Parents are encouraged to develop a rich understanding of Montessori educational philosophy.

Our school is a learning community of teachers, students and families, working toward a common goal shared with the wider Australian Montessori community. We see open communication, with all views respectfully offered and heard, as a vital part of the healthy life of the school
