CMS Building Fund

The Holder site for the Canberra Montessori School opened in 2004. It has been built in multiple stages as the student body has grown and funds have become available. This development has been funded by a combination of Government grants and donations from the community.

The Canberra Montessori Society established the Building Fund to allow for tax-deductible donations as an effective way to support development of the School. Canberra Montessori Society members are asked to contribute $200 / term or $800 for the school year. The current target for Building Fund contributions is $25,000 a year.

The Building Fund is also open for donations from the broader community. The Canberra Montessori Society welcomes donations, or bequests, from anyone in the community who wishes to support the development of the School.

There is a Master Plan for the development of the Canberra Montessori School site at Holder. To complete the current Master Plan there are two more classrooms to be built. The immediate objective is to construct one of these classrooms as a Cycle 2 Classroom to meet the needs of the expanding School.. It is expected that this classroom will be required as early as next year.
